ADREC has issued updated Outdoor Advertising Guidelines to ensure that all real estate-related banners, signage, and promotional materials displayed across Abu Dhabi are clear, compliant, and aligned with the emirate’s regulatory standards.
These guidelines have been introduced to enhance the quality, accuracy, and visual consistency of advertisements placed on buildings, including “For Sale” and “For Lease” banners. They outline the approved formats, required information, placement rules, and prohibited practices for all outdoor real estate advertisements.
The updated standards will help safeguard market transparency, prevent misleading information, and support a more organised and trusted real estate environment across Abu Dhabi. This enhancement forms part of Madhmoun, ADREC’s wider regulatory framework that strengthens the credibility of real estate information presented to the public.
Effective Date
The new guidelines come into effect on 1 January 2026. All property owners, property managers, developers, brokers, and advertisers must ensure full compliance by this date.
Non-Compliance
Failure to adhere to the Outdoor Advertising Guidelines will result in the relevant authorities undertaking the necessary administrative and regulatory measures.
