Description

To clear any liabilities, you are required to close your expired tenancy contract. You can begin the process here.

Required Documents

In case a tenancy contract has been closed without the second party approval then following documents are mandatory to be uploaded:
In case of shared premise ID: “Rental unit eviction form signed by the tenant”.
In case of non shared premise ID: “Electricity clearance”.

Business rules

User can renew or close the expired contracts, and if it’s been 90 days on the expiration date, the DMT will close it.

In case less than 30 days have passed since the contract expiry, it needs the second party’s approval. However, if more than 30 days have passed since the contract expiry, the lessor can close it with or without the tenant’s approval. If the lessor closes without the tenant’s approval, the application will go to DMT for approval.

Upon the tenant’s approval, the contract will be closed

Please note that the application journey will differ in case more than 30 days have passed since the contract’s expiry, and the lessor closed the contract without the tenant’s approval – in this case, it needs the DMT approval.
